40…

Today I turned 40. Wow. I am amazed at how life can pass by so quickly. I’ve been thinking about how my first 40 years have turned out and how I’d like my next 40 years to be.

I can sum it up this way…

I see the first 40 full of numerous victories brought about by overcoming the many obstacles that had been placed before me. They are to me a display case of trophies achieved with tremendous determination. I have much to celebrate with great thanks to God.

The next 40 I am determined and dedicated to victoriously accomplish all that God has placed in my heart. I look forward to every defining moment of the legacy I will leave behind for my children’s children. I will embrace the wins and the losses as they continue to develop character within. My hope at 80 is I will look back and see that my second 40 years were far beyond what I expected.

Wow, I’m 40.

  7. As I read this blog, I remembered that I was only a little shy of 40 when we came to Wilmington to establish The Rock. Then my desire was to make a difference. Twenty years later, I still want to make a difference.

    Life after 40 is amazing!

  8. Congratulations! Aren’t you glad you made it this far?

I accidentally erased an email you sent me, so if it was a good one, you’ll need to resend it. Did you hear- my house sold! Ha Ha Ha Ha! God is still good, and still paying attention.

    Missing you,
    A
